Dr. Indranil Deb

Dr. Indranil Deb is a reputed Ophthalmologist from West Bengal, predominantly known for his extensive proficiency in Paediatric Eye Care, Microsurgery, Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), Medical Retina, Squint, Phacoemulsification, Glaucoma, Oculoplasty and special surgical procedures.

He is in active practice since 2003 and has performed high volumes of complex eye surgeries. Till date he has done more than 20,000 total surgeries, including Phaco (>5000), Paediatric Cataract (>700), Squint (>500), Glaucoma (>400), Oculoplasty and Scleral Fixated IOL (>200).

Dr. Deb is MBBS (Cal), DO (Cal) with fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology & Adult Strabismus from the internationally acclaimed Aravind Eye Hospital, Tamil Nadu.

He is available for consultation as his private clinic 'Subarnarekha' in Midnapore, West Bengal. He is also associated with Midnapore Rotary Eye Hospital and Eye Care & Research Centre, Kolkata.

Dr. Deb is equally occupied in the academic front. He is the examiner and paper setter of Calcutta University and Vidyasagar University. He has also performed 2 national surveys on 'Rapid Assessment of Avoidable Blindness and 'Childhood Blindness'.

He regularly contributes to various leading publications. Dr. Deb has presented many papers on Squint and ROP in state and national level conferences and won best paper awards several times.
